35-Year-Old Woman Succumbs To Injuries From Pedestrian Collision In Prince George's County

BOWIE, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a now fatal pedestrian collision that occurred in the unincorporated section of Bowie. The victim is 35-year-old Brittany Young of Washington, DC. 

On April 23, 2024, at approximately 9:15 pm, officers were called to the area of Pleasant Prospect Road and Bishops Content Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. 

The preliminary investigation revealed a driver struck Young in the median of the roadway. She was transported to a hospital with critical injuries. She died on April 30, 2024. The involved driver remained on the scene and is cooperating. The circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
