Search Underway For Driver And Vehicle Involved With Fatal Hit-And-Run In Prince George’s County

LANDOVER, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred in Landover Tuesday night. Investigators are working to identify the victim, an adult female, in order to notify her family.

On May 14, 2024, at approximately 10:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Bell Haven Drive for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian. Officers located the victim in the roadway suffering from trauma. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed the involved driver struck the victim as she was attempting to cross the roadway. The driver did not remain on the scene. The involved vehicle is a 4-door gray or silver sedan with front end damage.
