BOWIE, Md. – The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred in the unincorporated section of Bowie. The deceased pedestrian has been identified as 56-year-old Michael Pyles of West River, MD.
On June 3, 2024, at approximately 9:10 pm, officers responded to the area of Enterprise Road and Chantilly Lane for a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed an involved driver was traveling westbound on Enterprise Road when he struck the pedestrian in the roadway. A second driver also then struck the victim. Both drivers stayed on the scene and were uninjured.
