FORESTVILLE, Md. – Raising Cane’s, a relatively new fast food chain in our region with an emphasis on quality customer service, opened their first location in Prince George’s earlier this month.
Their menu, entirely consisting of chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, and sides, tries to maintain simplicity and consistency across the nation.
There were already five Raising Cane’s in Maryland. One is in Waldorf on Crain Highway and another is in Gambrills. Another opened in Union Station’s food court on January 9. The first Raising Cane’s in Maryland opened in January of last year, and the brand has focused on rapid expansion without franchising.
County Councilwoman Wala Blegay (D- District 6) is happy to see more economic development in her central county district.
“I am proud to welcome Raising Cane’s restaurant franchise to District Six and bring the exceptional retail experience our residents look forward to. Not only does this signify a new chapter of culinary delight, but it also marks a step forward in strengthening our commercial tax base with District Six,” said Blegay via text message.
“The arrival of Raising Cane represents our commitment to fostering economic growth and delivering on promises of progress, which has been long overlooked within particular communities of our county, especially Forestville.”
Now that the location has been open for over a week, the lines have shortened and your potential Caniac bowl awaits!
